Day 19: Surrender #21 Day Purity Challenge

Sometimes our anxieties, frustrations, and disappointments are from not making our hearts known to God and laying it at his feet. I find that when I’m the most honest with God, I feel closer to Him and I can enter into his presence more freely and my spirit becomes light.

The word tells us in Psalm 37:5, “Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it.” The word commit in Hebrew is “galal” which means to roll away. Roll away everything, submit everything to Him. Turn it over. Surrender it all under His care. That’s when you know you are truly trusting in Him.

Something that I tell myself often is “Let it go.” We must be willing to let things go. Just release it to Him. Every relationship, every decision, every desire. God is our source, He knows what we need before we even ask, so we can trust that He is going to give us what we are asking.

The word also says to delight ourselves in Him and He will give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4). To delight means we genuinely enjoy Him. Its not a task or duty only to seek Him, but we find peace and fulfillment when we are with Him. We feel His heart and in turn it becomes our heart to do His will.
