God is Restoring Wealth and Authority to His Chosen People

Receive your Crown, Garment of Praise and Signet Ring

As a devoted follower of Christ and child of God, Paul tells us that we will be persecuted (2 Timothy 3:12). No matter what country, state or city we live in persecution will find us because of the name we carry. The persecution we face may look different depending on the region we live in, but we should not let this stop us from progressing boldly in our faith. No matter what fiery trial God allows us to experience, keep the goal in mind. The goal is intimacy and to get the gospel out before Jesus’ return. The hotter it gets the more we should experience the glory of God and authority over the enemy’s kingdom.

Notice the posture of Stephen’s heart as he was being stoned. He wasn’t scared, he wasn’t unbelieving, he was full of the Holy Spirit and saw the glory of God (Acts 7). Another example of this posture could be seen in Mordecai as the Jews were threatened to be destroyed, killed and annihilated (Esther 3-4). Mordecai lamented and the people fasted and wept unto the one who could save them. Esther tried to give him garments instead of the sackcloth and ashes he was wearing, but Mordecai would not accept them. Mordecai knew what time it was and gave word to Esther to go to the king for mercy. Mordecai could have accepted the decree of death, but he did not let that curse stop him.

Are you allowing what’s going on around you to stop you?

Instead of letting word curses and decrees of death stop you from moving forward, accept the invitation now to go to the throne of our King. If you pay the price, not in religious works, but in faith, God will give you garments of glory and beauty as you step into your priestly role like Aaron (Exodus 28). To step into this priestly role, you must wear your priestly garments. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ. As you consecrate yourself God will show you favor by giving you a crown of authority, garment of praise for the heaviness you’ve endured and a signet ring of honor for the trouble you have faced for the Lord’s sake.

When Esther and the Jews were restored, the king gave Esther Haman’s property and gave Mordecai his ring that he also took from Haman. Esther then gave her property to Mordecai. This property and ring represents what God is about to do for those who have preserved through the persecution they’ve faced and will face ahead for Him. The wealth that the wicked enjoyed for a season will become your inheritance. It was never theirs anyway, all things belong to our King. The authority that the enemy thought he had over you will be taken away. Your honor will be restored and where you were too weak to fight, your strength is returning and you are about to do damage to the kingdom of darkness with the authority of Jesus. There are those doing counterfeit miracles in the name of Jesus, but they will be mastered by evil as the sons of Sceva were (Acts 19). You may not be known by people, but you will be known in Heaven and the enemy will see you coming with authority and will have to go. The angels of God will be with you and are on assignment to help you fulfill your destiny.

As I receive this reward from the Lord by faith, I can only think of giving it right back to Him in worship because of how good He is. Just like the 24 elders in Revelations 4 as they cast their crowns before the throne, I will decree, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
