The Prepared Place

There is a place God has reserved just for you from the foundation of the world. This place is not just prepared in Heaven, but it was prepared on earth for you to take possession of. Reservation means an arrangement whereby something, especially a seat or room, is booked or reserved for a particular person. Preparation literally and figuratively means to make ready, to set up, fix, establish, ordain, appoint, or to make provision beforehand.

God has an ordained place that he has made ready and fixed up just for you.

God told Abraham to leave his country, his people, and his father’s house to go to a land that he was going to show him (Genesis 12:2). God promised the children of Israel a land flowing with milk and honey. God also said in 2 Samuel 7:10, that he was going to appoint a place for his people where he was going to plant them so that they may live in their own place, free of disturbance or affliction from the wicked. If you believe this is for you, you can grab hold of this word for your life too!

You must first believe that this is possible and then it will become something tangible in your life. This place God is taking you must be apprehended by faith, because it is a strange place. It’s a place you’ve never been before, it’s a place that was not in your mind or heart but in the mind and heart of God. This place could be an actual physical place, an opportunity, or a spiritual place that God is taking you in the spiritual realm of your life.

For when we come to Christ God already declared that we are seated with Christ in heavenly places. You have a seat, you a place in God, but now you must access it and take your authority in it. No longer should we debate with God about not having a place, but we should now ask God, WHAT IS THIS PLACE, WHERE IS THIS PLACE AND WHEN IS THE APPOINTED TIME OF DEPARTURE? When you move out in faith, this pleases the Lord.

Hebrews 11:8-10 says that Abraham obeyed because it was faith that made him obey. It was by faith that he left and by faith that he walked out his journey. It says that he was waiting in expectation of the promised city that God had built, designed, and configured for him and the nation within him. Abraham didn’t move out with a plan B in mind, he was fully persuaded that what God told him was going to come to pass.
